What do we do? We offer free, one to one support and group classes to anyone who wants to improve their skills and knowledge. We help you achieve your goals in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Who is it for? Anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing and lives in the Glasgow area. Who will be teaching me? Our tutors are Deaf or Hard of hearing. All are trained in Literacy and Numeracy teaching and have a good understanding of the difficulties Deaf people face on a daily basis. What kind of things can I learn? A huge variety of subjects! Not just spelling and working with numbers. Here are some examples of the things we can help you with: - Study support for over 16s who are at school or college
- Help with writing letters and filling in forms
- Jargon busting for meetings and help with communication at work
- Planning your career development and helping with the next steps
- Helping your kids with the homework
- Managing your household budget
- Understanding your finances and making the most of your money
- Creative writing
- Family history
- Making sense of computers, email and the Internet
- Job applications, CV's and interview skills
- Helping with English for the Driving Theory
- And many more
