Deaf Connections offers a hard of hearing social group enabling hard of hearing people to engage in accessible social activities together.

All Ears

The social group is called All Ears. The name was chosen by hard of hearing people themselves. Any hard of hearing people can participate in the group and its activities.


What does the group do?

Our staff organises a range of social and leisure activities, many suggested by hard of hearing members of the group, and these are attended by group members.

To date, the group has:

  • embarked on a day trip to Dunoon & Rothesay on the paddle-steamer Waverley
  • visited Kings Theatre to join in subtitled 'Singalonga Sound of Music' and more recently to watch 'Anything Goes' with Stagetext captions.
  • viewed a subtitled film at Glasgow Film Theatre
  • enjoyed a trip to see the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
  • visited a number of tourist attractions in and around Glasgow, such as the Museum of Transport, People's Palace, Botanic Gardens and much more.


How do I join?
