The HearOn Forum, a constituted group meets up once a month.

The aim is to represent the Deafened and Hard of Hearing people residing in the West of Scotland to gain access to goods and services.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives for which the group has been established are:

Aim - To represent the Deafened and Hard of Hearing people residing in the West of Scotland, to gain equality of access to goods and services to help them improve their quality of life.

The group will undertake the following activities:

• Collaborate with Deafened and HOH people on issues of access which require attention.
• Collaborate/advise with HOD service agencies on the provision of possible new services for Deafened and HOH people.
• Support funding applications and fundraising activities to help provide new services for deafened and HOH people.
• Promote campaigns and awareness raising to alert providers to the needs of deafened and HOH people. 
• Facilitate guest speaker for public meetings.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the group if free and will be open to all Deafened and Hard of Hearing people, regardless of Nationality, Politics, Race, Religion or Sexual orientation residing in the West of Scotland.

MEETINGS OF THE GROUP

• The Annual General Meeting of the group will be help at the end of each financial year.
• The group shall meet during the last week every month at Deaf Connections.
• The elected Chairperson, or in their absence, a nominated person shall chair the meetings of the group.
• A quorum for the meetings shall consist of no less than 5 people. The Chairperson shall have the casting vote in the case of a tied vote, all decisions shall be agreed by a majority vote where appropriate.
