A 12 hour training course aimed at anyone who wants to help someone with mental health problems.

Scotland's Mental Health First Aid(SMHFA) was first developed in Australia and is based on the concept of general first aid training.

The SMHFA course will teach you to:

1) Recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem.

2) Deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health.

3) Guide people towards approproiate professional help or self-help.
