DeafCare is a service provided by Deaf Connections, which aims to help Deaf people to live more independently in their own homes. We provide a range of care and support services. This can be housing support, or individually tailored
package of care for Deaf people with complex needs.
The service is uniquely able to offer British Sign Language users support which means thier communication and cultural needs and is delivered to a high standard by our experienced staff team.
We can help:
To make sure you live safely in your own home
With cleaning your home if you cannot do it yourself
With shopping and cooking
Making phone calls or appointments for doctor,workman for house repairs
Company if you feel isolated or lonely
Writing letters or filling out forms
Advice about DSS benefits
To learn to manage your money
The service is registered with the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care.
Community Care - Information and Advice
Our job is being able to give advice for Deaf people.
Our role is to help with filling out benefit forms, passports, driving licence, T.V licence and any other forms.
If you have letters that you don't understand we can help to translate them.
If you are moving house we can help with all the changing of address example BT, post office, doctor and other things.
I am always at Deaf Connections on a Thursday if you would like to come in and see me you are welcome.
